Hello everyone and Happy New Year!
Today my fur baby turned four! He was his usual happy and playful self and had 2 portions of a delicious home-cooked meal. Today Rascal was pampered by all his favourite humans and had a fun-filled day. He loved being the centre of attention!
I loved this little creature from the first moment his round brown eyes met mine; almost four years ago. I brought him home at only seven weeks old. He will forever have a place in my heart, my house, and my bedroom, where he sleeps in his crate (next to my bed). And now, he also has a place in my room decor, with a few portraits.
Humans and dogs have had a special bond for thousands of years. In fact, human–canine bonding can be traced back to at least 15,000 years ago. For centuries, dogs have been considered man's best friend.
Here are some quotes that highlight this unbreakable bond:
“If you don’t own a dog, at least one, there is not necessarily anything wrong with you, but there may be something wrong with your life.” – Roger A. Caras
“They [dogs] never talk about themselves but listen to you while you talk about yourself, and keep up an appearance of being interested in the conversation.” – Jerome K. Jerome
“Dogs have given us their absolute all. We are the centre of their universe. We are the focus of their love and faith and trust. They serve us in return for scraps. It is without a doubt the best deal man has ever made.” – Roger A. Caras
“You can usually tell that a man is good if he has a dog who loves him.” – W. Bruce Cameron
“I think dogs are the most amazing creatures; they give unconditional love. For me, they are the role model for being alive.” – Gilda Radner
“Money can buy you a fine dog, but only love can make him wag his tail.” – Kinky Friedman
“The love of a dog is a pure thing. He gives you a trust which is total. You must not betray it.” – Michel Houellebecq
“Dogs do speak, but only to those who know how to listen.”– Orhan Pamuk
“You know, a dog can snap you out of any kind of bad mood that you’re in faster than you can think of.” – Jill Abramson
I hope you enjoyed this post.
Talk to you soon!
