Hello everyone!
Today I want to talk to you about dotting tools.  Nail art dotting tools come in a variety of sizes and are used to help create dot and circle patterns.Â
How to use:Â As you probably know, just dip the end of your dotting tool in nail polish, and dot away!
It’s also easy to create your own nail dotting tools using stuff you have lying
around at home.  I use these all the time to create polka dot designs. (Check out some of my designs below!)Â
Here's how you can make four different DIY dotting tools.  Enjoy!Â
1
From micro points to polka dots, a toothpick is an obvious and most popular choice for dotting.  Be sure to purchase picks with flattened bases for an extra shape to play around with!
Bobby
pins are another cheap and
convenient alternative.  Just bend them out
straight, and use the round tips at the end like regular dotting tool.

You can also use ballpoint pens. I suggest that you use an old one with no ink left.Â
4
You can also create your own dotting tool by sticking a straight pin into the eraser end of a pencil.  I really like this one because if
you use a bigger straight pin, you'll have bigger dots, while with a smaller
straight pin, Â you'll have smaller dots. Â It's very versatile.
Â
Well, there you have it. Â Have fun experimenting! Â And here's a little nailspiration...
