Hello everyone!
I recently started using rose
water as a facial toner and I love it!Â
As I told you in a previous post, I normally use (undiluted) distilled witch hazel but lately my skin is much more sensitive so I wanted to try a milder
toner. For years, this was the only
product that my mother would use on her skin and her skin is gorgeous.
What is rose water?
Rose water is a by-product of the
production of rose oil through distillation of pure fresh rose petals. Â Did you know that rose water has several
beauty uses and benefits?
Beauty uses of rose water:
- Rose water is a well-known for its natural anti-septic, anti-bacterial and anti-inflammatory properties.
- Rose water can help reduce skin inflammation, lines and wrinkles. Â Â
- Apply rose water to cleansed skin to reduce swollen and inflamed acne.
- You could also dip a cotton disk in rose water and place it on your eyelids for a soothing feeling that helps cool tired eyes.
- You can also combine a cup of rose water with ¾ cups of witch hazel and use it as a facial toner.
- Combine a few drops of rose water with your regular moisturiser. Â Rose water maintains the skin's pH balance. Â
- Rose water is also a wonderful leave-in hair conditioner.
I'm not a fan of the rose
fragrance that lingers on my face, and I can actually smell it throughout the
day, but I love the way my skin feels and looks. Â
Rose water can be found in some supermarkets but this commercial type
usually contains chemicals and artificial preservatives that are less effective
than pure rose water. Â Watch this video for
instructions on how to make rose water at home.Â

Howdy would you mind letting me know which web host you're using? I've loaded your blog in 3 different browsers and I must say this blog loads a lot faster then most. Can you recommend a good web hosting provider at a fair price? Many thanks, I appreciate it!
