None of us is perfect, especially when it comes to make-up. Today’s post is about make-up mistakes or "crimes" as I like to call them.  Thank God there is no make-up jail!Â
Here’s a list of make-up crimes and how you can avoid them…
Dark lip liner and light lipstick
Unless
you are going to an 80’s themed party, you need to choose your lip liner in a
shade close to your natural lip colour or the same colour as your lipstick/gloss.
Lip liner extending beyond
the lip line
What have you learned in
kindergarten? – Do not colour outside the lines!  Same thing applies to lip
make-up. Â Just line the border, not
beyond. If you want fuller
lips apply a lip-plumping product and finish
with a dab of clear or light gloss on the centre of your lower lip (this will
reflect the light and make your lips appear fuller).
Drawn-in eyebrows
Women with lush, full brows
should skip any added colour; all they need are tweezers for stray hairs
and some brow gel/clear mascara.
To plump up sparse brows, apply
brow powder with an angled brush.
Caked-on foundation
This will only draw more attention to the problem you’re trying to hide.  Instead, try this:
For fine lines:Â Mix in a little moisturiser with your foundation. Click here to find out more.

For blemishes:Â Apply your foundation lightly and evenly, and then
use a full coverage concealer on the blemishes.

To avoid this mistake, choose
the right shade for your skin tone. Your
foundation should match your skin tone.
Obvious blush line
Use a blush brush, not the small applicator that comes with some products, and blend, blend, blend.
If you apply too much, tone down the colour with a light dusting of translucent powder.
What make-up
crimes have you committed? I
promise I won’t judge! J
